In-Home Care

An Alternative to Institutes, Nursing Homes, Care Homes and Assisted Living Facilities

Most elders and those with disabilities or chronic illnesses prefer to live in-home. The comfort provided by familiar settings and people is hard to understate. The stress of adjustment to life in an institution can negatively affect wellbeing. Staying at home with a degree of independence is often possible, but the family member may require assistance with tasks such as cooking, cleaning, grooming, toileting, shopping, laundry, driving.

From The Heart Home Health Care provides these services and more, with the utmost compassion and companionship, at any hour.

Respite

Respite Care

Families take great pride and joy in caring for their loved ones, allowing them to remain at home. The responsibilities and schedule that come with providing such care can be overwhelming without support.

Respite Care allows the primary caregiver a much needed break. We will come to the home and familiarize with the care reciever in his or her own home. Then we can be there to provide seamless care whenever the primary caregiver is unable to.

The Journal of Community Health Nursing released an evaluation study that found that 64% of caregivers of the elderly receiving four hours of respite per week, after one year, reported improved physical health. Seventy-eight percent improved their emotional health, and 50% cited improvement in the care recipient as well. Forty percent said they were less likely to institutionalize the care recipient because of respite.
